The Lovan Family – The ARK Initiative

We’re pleased to welcome the Lovan family to Charis Thailand.

Nicole brings her experience as a teacher to curriculum development for family education, specifically Early Childhood Development classes. Nicole works with the Family Education Team to create engaging and helpful training sessions for families and communities.

The ARK Initiative is helping migrant workers and indigenous leaders acquire new skills to enable them to find work or begin a small business. Opportunities are limited for Burmese migrant workers, through partnerships with like minded organizations we have been able to supply training in electrical, farming, community development, aquaponics and education. These new skills allow the graduates to become more economically sustainable and often bring new skill sets that can assist entire villages.
