Family Support Center: Why Names Matter

This has never been an orphanage. It has been a refuge for children in need though. It has been a refuge for families in need. Peace of mind when they couldn't figure out how to make it through together. They trusted us with their beloved offspring for a time, and we have strived to be worthy of that trust.

Holding Onto Life

She was just starting to show when the wife came to the place they both worked and confronted the man they both thought they were with. In the end, this baby's father returned to his wife and abandoned the girl he had taken advantage of.

Birth Class Update

These women have never been taught about their bodies. They didn't know how their cycles work. They didn't know how pregnancy happens. Several of the mamas in my class are teenagers. They might not be pregnant right now if someone had given them basic sex education.

Feed A Mother! We need your help today.

Many mothers can't afford even basic nutrition for themselves and their growing babies. For $10/week, you can supplement the diet of a pregnant women, and her family, and help these little babies to be born healthy and strong.

Ready to Plant

Work on the Charis Farm continues. Our primary obsession in the past month or two has been to prepare the soil at the farm

Meet Chawsu

Less than a year ago Chawsu was deciding whether or not to send her small children away... we helped her start a small business instead

Welcome to the Charis Teaching Farm

Rather than teach business and accounting in a classroom, this farm is our hands on business school.

When Abandoning Your Kids Seems Like the Right Thing To Do

Children's homes should always be considered a temporary solution.

They Were Going to Send Their Children Away for Lack of $20/month!

A few months ago one of our community engagement volunteers took us out to a migrant camp near a truck stop to meet a family he knew. They have 2 small girls ages 4 and 2. The father works very hard for the Thai land owner where the camp is located but they were still not making enough to get by.

This family was on the verge of splitting up because they couldn't make ends meet.
